Posted: 10 December 2017 Time: 00:13

Orlando Pirates captain Thabo Matlaba felts his side deserved to get three points with the way they played against AmaZulu.

Pirates wasted chance after chance as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Usuthu at Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening.

Matlaba, who won Man of the Match, also lamented his side's missed opportunities.

"We did play well but we didn't convert our chances. As we always complain about not scoring goals but we played well hey AmaZulu is a very stubborn team they can play and defend very well," Matlaba told SuperSport TV.

"But the way we play we deserve a trophy but let's get results football will reward you. Football will give back if you invest in it.

"To be honest it's a difficult time you can see the fans they are behind us. They are singing, we did very well but we are not converting our chances. We just need one touch there at the goals and we get the three points. The three points are very important. We are playing Free State in our last game we have to make sure that win it."
