Kaizer Chiefs' reserve team coach Arthur Zwane aims to finish the year on a high when his charges tackle Maritzburg United at Daveyton’s Sinaba Stadium on Saturday (12h00).
Chiefs beat Chippa United 3-0 in their last clash leaving them 13th in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge standings with seven points from eight games - 11 points less than third-placed Maritzburg.
Zwane expects a battle against the Team of Choice.
"A lot of their players are members of United’s first team squad," Zwane told his club's website.
"They are a solid side. It will be an interesting match. We have mostly very young players. However, I am convinced that our boys will be able to compete come Saturday."
He added: "The Maritzburg match is the last in 2017, we want to finish the year on a high."
Amakhosi will resume their MDC campaign in the new year against SuperSport United on January 13.
Meanwhile, Zwane lauded the finishing of 18-year-old forward Reamohetse ‘Shimmy’ Lekoatsa, who hit a brace against the Chilli Boys on November 25.
"Shimmy is a versatile attacker. He’s a great finisher, who can play both as a striker or a winger. He’s very good in taking defenders on."
