Arsenal and Everton ended their respective Europa League group stage campaigns with big wins on Thursday evening.

Arsenal 6-0 BATE Borisov

Arsenal showed BATE Borisov no mercy as they romped to a 6-0 win in their final group stage clash at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners opened the scoring through Mathieu Debuchy in the 11th minute, before Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere got on the score-sheet to extend Arsenal's advantage to 3-0 before the break.

The host picked up from where they left off in the first half as Dzyanis Palyakow deflected Walcott's cross into his own to increase the lead to 4-0 on 50 minutes.

Arsenal were awarded a penalty on 62 minutes when Walcott was brought down in the box. Olivier Giroud converted the spot kick to make it 5-0.

Mohamed Elneny rounded off the scoring in the 74th minute with a superb curling effort into the top corner.

Apollon 0-3 Everton

Everton ended their dreadful Europa League campaign on a high with a 3-0 win over Apollon on Thursday evening.

Sam Allardyce named a fairly young side for the encounter as they face cross-town rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

Ademola Lookman opened the scoring for the Toffees after 21 minutes, before the winger bagged his and Everton's second seven minutes later.

Nikola Vlašic rounded off the scoring in the 87th minute as Everton ran out comfortable winners on the night.

The Toffees finish third in Group E, having only registered one win from their six matches.
