Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says competing at the FIFA Club World Cup are among the highlights of his five-year stay at Chloorkop.
Unbeknown to Mosimane on Sunday he clocked up half a decade with Sundowns, having achieved much success along the way by winning six trophies - including the CAF Champions League and Super Cup.
Downs' maiden continental triumph in 2016 saw them qualify for the Club World Cup. And although they failed to win a game at the global showpiece in Osaka, Japan Mosimane has fond memories.
"I was not aware [on reaching the five-year mark] until the boys made me aware and they said they have to give a win tonight," said Mosimane after the 4-0 rout of Baroka at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.
"Time flies, it's unbelievable. I have only coached two teams in the PSL. Two teams, it's not much. I don’t like to move around. Seven years at SuperSport, five years now at Sundowns."
Asked about his best moments with the Brazilians, he said: "The World Cup, even though we didn't win anything and you know the ticket to go to the World Cup. Those are highlights."
The ex-Bafana Bafana coach is gunning for a third league title with Masandawana as the Tshwane giants top the standings with 19 points from 10 games ahead of Sunday's trip to Golden Arrows.
