SuperSport United's Eric Tinkler wary of Cape Town City

SuperSport United coach Eric Tinkler says they will not underestimate Cape Town City, who will be motivated to prove themselves this weekend.
Sixth-placed City are set to visit the Lucas Moripe Stadium for an Absa Premiership encounter with 10th-placed Matsatsantsa on Saturday afternoon (15h30).
With just three points separating them, both sides will look to bounce back from their respective midweek results as neither were able to collect maximum points.
Given SuperSport’s recent success in making it to their first ever CAF Confederation Cup final as well as lifting the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup trophies earlier the year, Tinkler feels they now carry a bullseye on their backs.
And despite The Citizens coming off a shock 4-2 defeat to Maritzburg United, he refuses to read much into their stuttering form and feels they will come highly motivated for the upcoming clash.
“Cape Town City already have started the league very well – they’re up there. It’s going to be a tough game, and they’ll be motivated because it’s SuperSport United,” said Tinkler.
“What we have achieved this season and last season, we are a team to beat, so we can’t underestimate them at all. They have had certain good results and bad results but so did I, when I was there.
“I also had a few good results and bad results. I got hit by Platinum Stars four [4-0], but they [City] have players that have the ability to turn that around. We can’t underestimate them, it will be a tough game.”
