Platinum Stars striker Bongi Ntuli is determined to help his team take out a wounded Kaizer Chiefs at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday.
Stars picked up only their second win of the season with a 1-0 defeat of Polokwane City on Wednesday, with Ntuli getting the goal just after the break at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Chiefs, meanwhile, lost 1-0 at Chippa United last night to extend their winless run in the league to five games.
"It’s going to be a difficult game," said Ntuli.
"We are playing against a big team. We are playing home so we have to win. We have told ourselves that we have to win all our home games. We have to continue playing the way we have been playing. We shouldn’t think that we are playing a big team or what because on the pitch it’s 11 against 11. We have to focus on getting the three points.
"The Chiefs game is very important for us to win. Since they come from a loss, it’s going to be difficult for us. We have to work harder than them in order to win. I would like our supporters to come in numbers to rally behind us and we will make them proud."
Ntuli was naturally pleased to score his fourth goal of the season against Rise and Shine, as Dikwena rose out of the relegation zone to 13th place on the table with 12 points from 13 matches.
"I am happy that I scored and we ended up winning. We got three points away from home which is not easy. Our win was crucial because we needed to move from down there. I think it’s a little bit better now. The remaining two games are must win for us because we will move to a better position. We are focused on moving up. We have to be at number 10 going into the Christmas break," said the former Mamelodi Sundowns hitman.
