Mauricio Pochettino hails Tottenham's "fantastic achievement" after undefeated group-stage campaign

Mauricio Pochettino has hailed Tottenham's "fantastic achievement" in the UEFA Champions League after going through Group H undefeated.

Spurs capped off a stellar group-stage campaign with a 3-0 win over Apoel Nicosia on Wednesday to make it five wins and a draw from their six matches to finish three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid.

That means the north London club are through to the last-16 as top seeds, leaving Pochettino a very happy coach.

"It's a fantastic achievement for this team but it's still a long way to the final," he said.

"We need to wait until the end of February to play again and we need to see the draw.

"I hope we keep our level but the motivation to play in the best competition in the world is massive, so of course we're going to try and win every game and try to go as far as we can."
