Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic lauded SuperSport United following their 0-0 draw at Orlando Stadium.
The Soweto giants failed to build on their win over Bloemfontein Celtic after playing out to a stalemate on Tuesday evening.
As a result, Pirates missed the chance to move top of the Absa Premiership table.
Speaking to SuperSport TV after the match, Sredojevic said: "We have played one very experienced team that had over 20 international games and you could see how they could control themselves throughout the game competitively. You could see that playing all over Africa has put mileage in their legs and they are having a great experience [sic].
"They had initiative in the first half in creating chances. We also had one on the other side. At half-time, we regrouped."
He added: "I think that the game could have gone either way. I regret that it didn't go our way, because the boys really gave their best in today's game."
