Downs duo ruled out of Baroka clash

Mamelodi Sundowns have been dealt a setback with news that four players are definitely set to miss this evening's clash against Baroka.

The Brazilians will play host to the Absa Premiership log leaders at the Lucas Moripe Stadium this evening, with kick-off set for 19h30.

However, Pitso Mosimane will have to make do without the services of four of his charges – most notably winger Anthony Laffor and defender Fares Hachi.

Laffor suffered an ankle injury in their 0-0 draw with Chippa United two weeks ago, and has not recovered in time to make the matchday squad.

Hachi, meanwhile, suffered a hamstring injury in training and could be out for some time.

Others on the sidelines are midfielder Lucky Mohomi and striker Cuthbert Malajila. The latter recently underwent knee surgery and is expected to be out until next year, while the former has also picked up a knee injury.

Downs face a grueling schedule in December, with five fixtures to be played in the space of just two weeks, as they play catch-up due to their CAF Champions League commitments earlier this season.
