Junior Khanye to team up with Lerato Chabangu at Mikhado

Posted: 5 December 2017 Time: 08:00

KickOff.com has learnt that ABC Motsepe League side Mikhado are set to sign former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye.

Khanye has not played professionally since the 2013/14 season, when he had a ill-fated spell at Malanti Chiefs in Swaziland.

He is poised to become the second high-profile signing for the Limpopo club after their recent capture of ex-Mamelodi Sundowns star Lerato Chabangu.

Mikhado chairman Itani Musandiwa confirmed the club's plans to rope in Khanye in January.

"There has been discussion about him with the coach," Musandiwa tells KickOff.com.

"He is expected to start training with us in January."

Khanye, a fan-favourite in his prime, aims to revive a career that was derailed by ill discipline.
