Former Chippa United coach Kosta Papic says there is "nothing official yet" amid reports he is returning to Royal Eagles as a replacement for Zipho Dlangalala.

According to a source, Dlangalala was told to vacate his post yesterday after the team drew 1-1 with Black Leopards at home on Saturday.

"Zipho Dlangalala has been sacked by Eagles," the informant told

"Things have not gone well for him and the new coach is going to be Papic."

This website contacted Papic for comment, who said: "There’s nothing official yet and please I beg you... I have a small problem in Ethiopia and just wait until Wednesday for everything to be done."

Dlangalala was appointed interim coach in September after Allan Freese failed to get a win in Eagles' first four games of the season.

The ex-Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns MultiChoice Diski Challenge coach oversaw two wins, four draws and three losses, leaving the ambitious NFD outfit in 14th place on the table.

Papic was previously succeeded by Freese at Eagles midway through last season after he underwent an operation in his native Serbia.

This website also understands that the club's technical adviser Angelo Tsichlas has moved on.
