AmaZulu captain Tapelo Nyongo has recovered from a kidney complaint that has kept him out for over two months.
Nyongo was sidelined after colliding with Platinum Stars skipper Vuyo Mere during a 1-1 draw at King Zwelithini Stadium on September 23.
However, he hopes to make his seventh league outing of the season when mid-table Usuthu host Telkom Knockout finalists Bloemfontein Celtic at the same venue on December 6 (19h30).
“Yes, I have been declared fit by the doctor and I started training with my teammates on Monday,” Nyongo told his club's website.
“For now I am focusing on regaining my full fitness because I was out for months due to my injury.
“I will only start thinking of our game against Bloemfontein Celtic next week.
“The most important thing for me at the moment is to push myself so that I can be physically ready for the match.”
The defender added: “We will have a chance to watch them play in the final against Bidvest Wits since the game will be played in Durban [on Saturday].
“We will study them and see if we can identify their weaknesses. Then we will look to capitalise on their weaknesses next week at home.”
