Bongani Khumalo: No drifting off under Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt

Bongani Khumalo says you risk being dropped by Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt if you think past the next game.
The Students' next match is the Telkom Knockout final against Bloemfontein Celtic at Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday (18h00).
While Wits' Premiership title defence is in dire straits as they are currently propping up the standings after 11 matches, Hunt will not allow that to cloud their focus tomorrow, according to Khumalo.
"This is the Telkom cup final, it's a prestigious cup to be involved in," said Khumalo, who won a hat-trick of league titles under Hunt at SuperSport United from 2008 to 2010.
"This is an opportunity of history again being made by the club and with Gavin Hunt in charge the next game is always the most important. That man, if you think three games ahead you might not be on the field. So it is our next game, it is a cup final and honestly we are looking forward to a really special day of football and great festivities.
"Obviously the only way to enjoy football is if you are winning. To enjoy a cup final you've got to win it... that's all that matters."
Meanwhile, Khumalo admits the Clever Boys have felt the absence of first-choice centre-backs Thulani Hlatshwayo and Buhle Mkhwanazi. The duo have recovered from respective injuries and played for the first time together this season in the goalless league draw with Maritzburg United last weekend.
"It's massive to have them back because they played the majority of the games last season," said Khumalo, who is expected to provide cover to the pair in KwaMashu.
"Obviously when you start the new season after so much success it is quite difficult to sort of blend the new players in and sort of get a rhythm going. But be that as it may we do have quality players in every position and we have played well at times in most of the games," concluded the former Tottenham Hotspur defender.
