Kyle Walker lauds England boss Gareth Southgate's impact ahead of 2018 World Cup finals draw

Kyle Walker has hailed Gareth Southgate’s impact on the England team, stating the coach has instilled a solid team belief ahead of the World Cup draw.

The Three Lions are waiting to learn their World Cup fate as the draw for the group stages takes place at the Kremlin today, 17h00 South African time.

And with Southgate having led the team to an undefeated qualifying campaign, Walker feels there are plenty of reasons to get excited ahead of next year’s global showpiece.

"It feels like club football now," Manchester City defender Walker told Lidl.

"We have a group chat where there is always banter flying. We're all together in the games room, playing pool, having a laugh and I think it is really bringing the squad together nicely.

"When Gareth came in he has put his own stamp on it, he has in his head how he wants it to be and for us, it is working.

"Now it is just down to us to repay the faith that he has put into us."
