Bidvest Wits midfielder Vincent Pule believes winning the Telkom Knockout can turn the club's season around.
However, Wits can win silverware on Saturday as they prepare to face Bloemfontein Celtic in the TKO final at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu.
“Winning the cup for us will be a great motivation in the league, but you know sometimes things can go the other way around,” Pule said.
“I'm positive that winning the cup can change anything. As a team, we owe it to ourselves that we have to win this final.
“We are happy to be in the final and playing against Celtic, they are doing well at the moment.”
Pule is eager to bring home the trophy to repay the faith shown in him by coach Gavin Hunt during these challenging times at Milpark.
“I'm happy because I'm getting game-time. The coach believes in me and I'm starting to believe in myself. My confidence now is up there and I'm happy to be in the final.
“As a player you want to do good in each and every game. It's not about when the team is not doing well then you drop your head. I must keep on going.
“At the moment my confidence is high. When I'm on the field, I want to put in my all. It's been great for me to get the opportunity to play.
“When I'm on the field I must give hundred percent.”
