Patrick Tignyemb banking on Bloemfontein Celtic brotherhood for Telkom Knockout final

Bloemfontein Celtic captain Patrick Tignyemb is banking on Phunya Sele Sele's brotherly spirit to see them over the line against Bidvest Wits in the Telkom Knockout final.

The teams will contest honours at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu on Saturday, with Tignyemb looking to claim his second TKO winner's medal following the club's triumph in 2012.

"What is helping us this season is that we are fighting for each other, praying together and the friendship we have built amongst ourselves is that of brotherhood," Tignyemb told Celtic's website.

"Personally for me, it will be an achievement to win the trophy for the second time and we ask God for mercy and strength to help the team achieve.”

The long-serving Cameroonian says coach Veselin Jelusic is keeping his troops relaxed.

"The coach and technical team are not putting pressure on us; instead they are constantly reminding us to continue playing with tactical discipline and converting our chances.

"Whilst it is a fact that Wits has good players, we will be able to match them on the day, this is due to the fact that there is huge self-belief reigning in the team."

Siwelele youngster Tshegofatso Mabasa echoed Tignyemb's sentiment ahead of the tournament decider.

"The mood in the camp is extremely high and the guys are happy. My personal progress emanates from the guidance I get from my teammates and also the hard work I have put in towards achieving my goals.

"As players, we need to thank our supporters for their immeasurable support and subsequently urge them to paint the stadium green and white come this Saturday."
