Gordinho household divided ahead of Telkom Knockout semi-final between Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs

Posted: 17 November 2017 Time: 17:30

Bidvest Wits midfielder Anthony Gordinho has revealed some of the banter he will be sharing with his brother Lorenzo, ahead of the Telkom Knockout semi-finals.

The Clever Boys will host Amakhosi in the league cup semi-final at the BIdvest Stadium this Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 15h30.

In a rare occurence, the clash will see the two brothers' respective teams come up against one another, which is likely to produce some banter at home and within the Gordinho family.

Lorenzo is understandably the more established, older brother at Naturena, having made over 60 appearances for Chiefs, while Anthony is still awaiting his official Wits debut after transfering to Sturrock Park from SuperSport United in August.

Chances of them facing off on the field may be slim, but off-the-field and in the build-up to the match, Anthony tells KickOff.com he is sure to get under his brother's skin in order to try and give his team a slight advantage.

"It's going to be a tough game but I definitely think we [Wits] will take it," says 22-year-old Anthony.

"For us, we don't get jealous of each other. I'm proud of him [Lorenzo], but I'll definitely make a few jokes to try and get into his head!"
