Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Lantshene Phalane is confident the team will reach the final of the Telkom Knockout this weekend.
Celtic will meet Polokwane City in the TKO semi-finals at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, a day after Bidvest Wits host Kaizer Chiefs in the first last-four tie.
Phunya Sele Sele can draw encouragement from winning their last three games in all competitions, while they also defeated City 2-1 in the league at the same venue in September.
"The comradeship in the team and our vow to win something this season will see us through on Sunday," Phalane told his club's website.
"We are one step closer to reaching the final and have made a commitment to the management that we can do it. Nothing is impossible and fighting as a unit has been our trend recently, the zeal and passion reigning in the team is astonishing. Fulfilling our promise to the supporters is what pushes us all the time."
Phalane says Absa Premiership Coach of the Month Veselin Jelusic is proving a major source of motivation for the team, which is currently fourth on the standings having narrowly survived relegation last term.
"The greatest motivator in the team must be coach Ves, his amazing man-management skills have kept us going. His approach, to address us both as a team and individually to discuss our shortcomings while providing solutions, is commendable. We are psychologically ready and greatly inspired by the atmosphere on-and-off the field," he said of the new Siwelele mentor.
