Orlando Pirates monitoring injuries to Thabo Matlaba and Thamsanqa Gabuza

Orlando Pirates are monitoring the situation of two key players ahead of their league fixture against Golden Arrows next week.

Thabo Matlaba and Thamsanqa Gabuza will be closely assessed in the coming days as the team prepares to host Abafana Bes'thende at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday evening (19h30).

The skipper suffered an ankle injury during the Telkom Knockout quarter-final defeat to Polokwane City, with the striker having sustained a thigh strain in the same encounter.

Gabuza currently has three goals and two assists in nine starts in all competitions, while Matlaba has one goal to his name and missed just one game this season.

The Bucs medical team will monitor the progress of their senior players, who are currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.

The club also alerted that fullbacks Mthokozisi Dube and Innocent Maela are unavailable for Tuesday's clash.
