Polokwane City coach Bernard Molekwa calm amid Rendani Ndou speculation

Posted: 16 November 2017 Time: 14:35

Polokwane City coach Bernard Molekwa has faith Rodney Ramagalela's strike partnership with Rendani Ndou is not at risk of being broken up.

Ramagalela is topping the PSL scoring charts with six goals, while Ndou is also garnering attention with three strikes - two of which came in the Telkom Knockout quarter-final win over Orlando Pirates.

However, Ndou's representatives have told KickOff.com they will consider options for their client when the January transfer window opens. And although Ndou only has eight months left on his contract with the club, Molekwa has brushed off the speculation surrounding the former Black Leopards man's future.

"Rendani has been part of the club. I don't remember any day him coming to me and saying he wants to leave except what I saw in media that he wants to leave," said Molokwa.

"He has been important for the club. He has just been waiting for his chance," he added.

Molekwa feels Ndou has eased some of the pressure on Ramagalela.

"When things are not going well, we always sit down and analyse and check what we can do to benefit the club to get results. In some matches we felt we needed a player like him to relieve pressure on Ramagalela."

Rise and Shine will hope to reach their first final when they host Bloemfontein Celtic in the TKO at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday (15h30).
