Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon is out for the year with a jaw injury, but there is good news for Steve Komphela as Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Kgotso Moleko and Teenage Hadebe have resumed training.
It's a tough break for Moon who recently returned from a spell on the sidelines, while the latter trio have also spent their fair share of time on the treatment table, with Zimbabwean signing Hadebe yet to make his debut after getting injured in pre-season.
"Moon has injured his jaw," Chiefs’ physiotherapist Dave Milner told the club's website. "He is not taking part in training at the moment and will remain under scrutiny until the pain subsides.
"'Rama' and Moleko are recuperating well. We are working in stages to get them back to full recovery before they could start with the match fitness programme. Teenage, meanwhile, is involved in full training drills and on track to a full recovery."
Left-back Tsepo Masilela is still nursing an ankle injury.
Milner added: "Tsepo is also doing fine. We are happy with his progress and we hope to have this phase of injuries ending very soon."
Amakhosi will on Saturday battle Bidvest Wits at Bidvest Stadium for a place in the Telkom Knockout final (15h30).
Coach Komphela is also sweating on the availability of goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, who played with a facial fracture in Bafana Bafana's recent World Cup qualifiers with Senegal.
