Monare under no illusions for Chiefs clash

Bidvest Wits midfielder Thabang Monare says they know they have to put in the work as they are playing a "big team" in Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals.
The Secunda-born player says preparations are going well at Sturrock Park ahead of the showdown at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday (15h30).
"Preparations for Saturday's match are on track as you know we have to work hard as we are playing against a big team," Monare tells KickOff.com.
"But ja, the preparations are good. You know football... as much as you can analyse previous games and all that, but on the day it's a different ball game. I think we will just leave that to the day."
The former Jomo Cosmos man believes a collective effort by the Clever Boys will help ease their scoring woes. The Premiership champions have scored a paltry six goals in nine league matches as they languish in the relegation zone.
"Well, I think we always need to work hard. I mean looking at the season... to be honest I think we've been unlucky at some point so we need to continue searching for our luck. Scoring goals is what will win us the game, so I really think we should work as a team in terms of scoring goals.
"As for planning for Saturday's game that's up to the coach [Gavin Hunt]. We players, we just prepare for whatever comes. We are positive about the game. Yes, it's a home game for us but we are playing against a big team to be honest."
Wits relinquished their MTN8 title to SuperSport United earlier in the season, but Monare does not feel they are under extra pressure to make amends in the TKO.
"I wouldn't say it will make up for failing to defend the MTN8 because that's history right now. But I wouldn't say we are under pressure to win this cup."
