Jabulani Shongwe is well aware much is expected of him at Golden Arrows.
The midfielder is seeing out the final year of his contract with Bidvest Wits on loan at Arrows, having joined the Durban-based outfit in August after a lengthy period of inactivity.
Shongwe failed to play a single league game for the Students last term during their run to championship honours - in contrast to 2015/16 when he netted three goals in 25 Premiership outings.
Shongwe says he is still working on his fitness, with his progress hampered by an injury sustained in a derby with AmaZulu on September 17.
"Life has been great at the club," Shongwe tells KickOff.com.
"As you know I came in late in here and a lot is expected from me, but I'll keep on working hard.
"Having said that, I'm enjoying myself and of course my match fitness is still not up to scratch, but I have to keep on working hard at training.
"Unfortunately I suffered an injury against AmaZulu and it took me backwards, but I'll keep on working hard. When that injury occurred, I didn't get disappointed because such things happen. So I told myself that it's part of life. But I'm happy to be back as I'm trying to my level best to be a hundred percent fit."
