Bafana must forget chaotic week

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter will lead his side into a massive 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Senegal in Polokwane tonight following a chaotic week.
Bafana, who are bottom of Group D on four points, are without Hlompho Kekana and Thulani Serero from the original squad Baxter announced for the back-to-back encounters against the Lions of Teranga, while goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune suffered an injury scare.
All that is in the past and Bafana now have to deliver against the West Africans, despite the challenges they have faced this week.
Bafana need six points to book a spot at the World Cup in Russia next year and two points would be enough for Senegal to qualify.
"I think the players have got used to it and we battle through those challenges. The only thing is to make sure you have a basic focus and a basic attitude of keeping the mind on the job, keep yourself on the here and now and not to get carried away," said Baxter.
"What happens when you have this drama is you lose focus on things that can make you win the game. You start having to deal with this and that, and despite all of that we have kept our eye on the ball and that’s really important.
"Senegal have good players, but I want to see that we can give a true reflection what we can do. If they are good enough to beat us, then I will put my hand up. But what I don’t want is to gift them anything because we did not keep our eye on the ball."
Baxter has announced his starting line-up for the match, with Khune notably cleared for action.
