KickOff.com can reveal that former Black Leopards coach Mlungisi Ngubane is set to take over at Swazi side Mbabane Highlanders, while ex-Free State Stars boss Kinnah Phiri has surfaced in Botswana.

Ngubane previously had a brief stint at Cape Town All Stars which ended in September 2016, having also held posts at Royal Eagles, Maritzburg United, Chippa United, Bush Bucks and the Namibian national team.

Highlanders official Mphumelelo Mnisi has confirmed that 'Professor' is joining the club this season.

"We have reached an agreement with Mlungisi Ngubane to take over as our new coach," Mnisi tells KickOff.com.

"He is expected to be unveiled to our supporters tomorrow."

Meanwhile, Malawian tactician Phiri, who was sacked by Stars in August 2015 after less than a year in charge, has linked up with Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

"Yes, it's true Kinnah Phiri is our new coach. We are currently waiting for his work permit before he can start his new job with the club," Chiefs spokesperson Mogomotsi tells this website.

One-time Orlando Pirates striker Gilbert Mushangazikhe has also taken up a coaching position in Botswana's topflight with Black Forest.
