Chippa United midfielder Kurt Lentjies is due for another medical check-up after dislocating his shoulder and suffering a concussion in a collision with Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.
Lentjies sustained the injuries during a Telkom Knockout quarter-final match with Chiefs at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth last Sunday.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker on Tuesday revealed to KickOff.com that he experienced memory loss after colliding with Khune.
Khune also came off the worse for wear, suffering a facial fracture - triggering concerns he could miss Bafana Bafana's crunch World Cup qualifier with Senegal at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday.
Chippa have since provided an update on Lentjies's progress in a statement, which reads: 'Kurt Lentjies was involved in a high-speed collision with Itumeleng Khune on Sunday, in the Telkom Knockout quarter-final.
'He left the field on a strecher and was assessed by Dr Lizzy Pietersen in the medical room.
'He has been diagnosed with concussion and a dislocated shoulder. He may not participate in any physical activity until an assessment next Monday.'
