Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere expects response in London derby against Tottenham

Posted: 9 November 2017 Time: 08:49

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is confident the side can bounce back from their loss at Manchester City when they face Tottenham later this month.

The Gunners succumbed to a 3-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium last weekend, a result which left them sixth in the Premier League standings and already 12 points off the pace in the title race.

Next up for Arsenal is the November 18 visit of bitter rivals and third-placed Spurs and Wilshere expects Arsene Wenger’s men to find a big response.

"They've come a long way in the last few years," Wilshere said. "They finished above us last year, and we want to finish above them this year.

"But it's not all about that, we don't just look at them. We want to finish as high as we can.

"We know it's going to be a tough game. It's at the Emirates, so we have to take the game to them."
