Coach Pitso Mosimane says Mamelodi Sundowns is bigger than any individual at the club, including Brazilians president Patrice Motsepe.
Sundowns suffered a major blow in the off-season when highly-rated assistant coach Rulani Mokwena jumped ship to Orlando Pirates to serve under Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic.
And while Mosimane admits his departure was a loss for the former African champions, he insists life goes on at Chloorkop.
"Rulani is smart, intelligent and was a big loss for us. We move on, life goes on," said Mosimane, whose side beat Bucs 3-1 in the league last week.
"Sundowns is bigger that Patrice Motsepe, Sundowns is bigger than Pitso, Sundowns is bigger than anybody. Sundowns is a big club. Sundowns has won the league before. Sundowns won the league before the president came here and Sundowns will still win the league when we are gone. So Sundowns is a big club."
'Jingles' appealed to the media to allow Mokwena space "to run his race" along with other upcoming coaches such as Chippa United's Teboho Moloi and Maritzburg United's Fadlu Davids.
"Rulani still has to run his race guys please. Rhulani still has to run his race. Tebogo [Moloi] is running his race. Fadlu Davids is running his race and Rulani will run his race. He is a lovely boy. I love him. I love Rulani to bits and you don't know our relationship. It's unfair on Rulani, avoid Rulani. Please ask any question but not Rulani."
