Platinum Stars striker Bongi Ntuli says Dikwena can still finish the season in the top eight.
Stars are currently at the bottom of the Absa Premiership table with seven points from 10 matches.
Ntuli, however, has faith the Phokeng-based outfit will rise up the standings after the FIFA international break.
Roger de Sa's charges will next next host Bloemfontein Celtic at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on November 21, having lost 2-1 to Siwelele in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals in their previous outing.
“We are determined to make sure that we make the top eight this season,” said Ntuli.
“We have belief that we can make the top eight. We have a chance to move from the relegation zone. We are really determined and all the games that we are playing we are taking them as cup finals. By December we would have moved from the bottom.
“We are playing Celtic again and the coach has said that they can’t beat us again. We have hope. I have belief that we can do well. I can confidently say that we will win especially when we play at home. We will make sure that we make our supporters happy because we need that support. We want to make them happy with wins.”
Ntuli has rediscovered his scoring touch with three goals in the last four games, and is growing in confidence.
“I am happy with my performances as an individual because I have been scoring. I think my confidence is now back. It was really frustrating me that I was not scoring goals because strikers are judged by goals. I needed that one goal so that I can be okay. I think it is going well at the moment. I need to put in some extra work at training so that I become clinical and finish those chances. I need to work on my finishing. I have to bury the chances that I get.”
