Spanish La Liga match report Real Madrid v Las Palmas 05 November 2017

La Liga champions Real Madrid returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 win over Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos had a golden chance to break the deadlock after four minutes but Cristiano Ronaldo failed to slot past Raul Lizoain in a one-on-one situation.

Real shot-stopper Kiko Casilla was called upon in the 12th minute as he produced a fine low save to keep out Vitolo's strike.

Ronaldo went even closer on 29 minutes when his strike from 20-yards out rattled the upright with Raul well beaten.

Real eventually broke the deadlock the deadlock on 41 minutes as Casemiro headed home from close range.

That proved to be the final chance of the half as Zinedine Zidane's charges went into the break with a one-goal advantage.

10 minutes into the second half, the hosts doubled their lead as Raul punched the ball into the path of Marco Asensio, who rifled the ball into the top corner from the edge oft he box.

Real continued to dominate and eventually bagged a third goal after 74 minutes as Ronaldo turned provider to pick out Isco, who calmly slotted past Raul.

It proved to be a frustrating evening for Ronaldo as the Portuguese forward struck the crossbar with a left-footed effort in the 78th minute.

Los Blancos were in full control in the closing stages, but could not add to their advantage as the score remained 3-0 at the full-time whistle.
