Jomo Sono not bothered with previous results against Black Leopards

Posted: 5 November 2017 Time: 08:00

Jomo Cosmos boss Jomo Sono says he will not be thinking about previous results heading into Sunday's National First Division encounter with Black Leopards.

Sparks are expected to fly when the two promotion hopefuls collide at 15h30 at Vosloorus Stadium.

Sono's side have started the season promisingly by collecting 14 points from nine games - two points more than Lidoda Duvha.

"We haven't changed anything. We've prepared the same way we've been preparing the whole year, nothing special," Sono tells

"I don't have a grudge against anyone. I just want to play football and win, that's all. They want a win, we want to win.

"To be honest we are competing like all the 15 teams, we just want to compete. Maybe our luck came too early this season, that's why we are up there at the top but we are just competing. They are a very good team. We are expecting a very hard game. We want to win all the time. Cosmos want to win, the players wants to win. Leopards also, they will want to win."

He adds: "I don't look at past records when I plan for a football match. I know records don't lie but I don't depend on them because last year I didn't have the same team I have now. It's a different team. Cosmos has got a very strong team now."
