Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu will be eligible to feature in the side's second 2018 World Cup qualifier against Senegal.
Zungu was sent off in the 3-1 victory over Burkina Faso last month, however the South African Football Association (SAFA) appealed the midfielder's sending off.
The Amiens midfielder was facing a two-match suspension for violent conduct, but SAFA have now confirmed that the ban was reduced to one game.
The 25-year-old will miss the first clash against Senegal on Friday, 10 November 2017, but is now eligible to feature in the away encounter four days later.
“The player Bongani Zungu is regarded as having breached art. 48 par.1 c) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code in the match played between South Africa and Burkina Faso. The player is suspended for one (1) match, including automatic suspension, which will be served in the match between South Africa and Senegal of 10 November 2017,” said a FIFA in a statement on the SAFA website.
