Hunt: Baroka have less pressure

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt expects a tough encounter against table toppers Baroka, who come into the match with less pressure than the defending league champions.

Wits will welcome Bakgaga to the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday evening for their Telkom Knockout quarterfinal, which is set to kick off at 20h15.

Having already relinquished their MTN8 crown this season, The Clever Boys will look to the league cup with much vigour to try and turn their poor form of late around.

They won't have it easy however, as Kgoloko Thobjane's outfit are currently beaming with confidence as they continue to hold firm at the summit of the standings.

Hunt admits his side face a tough task, despite having handed the Polokwane-based side their first defeat of the season in a league clash a fortnight ago, as they come into the all-or-nothing tie as underdogs.

"I don't think there'll be any [major difference from two weeks ago], they'll change their personnel possibly, which seems to be the norm in South Africa," said Hunt in the build-up to the fixture.

"They are a good enterprising side, they're full of running and they're very committed, in terms of they 'climb in' – they're not shy.

"They seem to playing [with more confidence], they've got less pressure obviously – they are at the other end of the scale, so it will be a tough game for us."

Some notable injuries at Milpark will see the likes of Moeneeb Josephs, Daylon Claasen, Kobamelo Kodisang and Eleazar Rodgers all missing out, while Gabadinho Mhango is set to serve another five matches out due to suspension.
