Everton crashed out of the Europa League, while Arsenal secured their spot in the knockout rounds.
Lyon 3-0 Everton
Everton were bundled out of the Europa League after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Olympique Lyon at the Stade de Lyon.
The first half failed to provide any real goal-mouth action, although the Ligue 1 side did look a bit more threatening.
Lyon eventually broke the deadlock in the 68th minute as Bertand Traore reacted quickest to a loose ball and clinically slotted home form the edge of the box.
The lead was doubled on 76 minutes as Memphis Depay played in Houssam Aouar, who sent in a fine curling finish into the bottom corner.
Everton were then reduced to 10 men in the 80th minute when Morgan Schneiderlin was shown a second yellow card, before Depay rounded off the scoring in the 88th minute with a fine header.
Arsenal 0-0 Red Star Belgrade
Arsenal advanced to the knockout stage of the competition after they drew 0-0 with Red Star Belgrade at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners remain top in Group H, five points ahead of Belgrade.
