Platinum Stars registered their first win of the Absa Premiership season with a 1-0 victory over Ajax Cape Town.
The Urban Warriors looked to threaten in the early stages as Neo Makua picked out Tashreeq Morris in the box, but the striker failed to control and Stars managed to clear.
Chances were few and far between as the first half continued, as neither side took control of the encounter.
After a quiet spell in the half, Ajax went agonisingly close to taking the lead on 42 minutes but Roscoe Pietersen's header crashed against the woodwork.
Nevertheless, the score remained goalless as the sides entered the halftime break.
Dikwena eventually broke the deadlock in the 51st minute as Vuyo Mere scored from a free-kick.
The hosts nearly doubled their advantage on the hour mark, but Jody February produced a good save to keep out Brian Mwila's header.
The Urban Warriors threw numbers forward in search of an equaliser while Grant Margeman and Prince Nxumalo were also introduced.
However, Roger de Sa's charges managed to see out the remaining stages of the match to secure their first win of the campaign.
