Chippa United suffer Mark Mayambela injury setback

Posted: 31 October 2017 Time: 09:39

Chippa United playmaker Mark Mayambela faces up to six weeks on the sidelines with a fractured foot, according to coach Teboho Moloi.

'Professor' sustained the injury in the 2-1 league win over Cape Town City on October 22 and missed the 1-0 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout this past Sunday.

Midfielder Sandile Zuke and veteran striker Katlego Mashego are also expected to miss tomorrow's Premiership clash with Bidvest Wits, but could return in the TKO quarter-final against Kaizer Chiefs at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.

“The game against Bidvest Wits on Wednesday is too soon for them but they might return against Kaizer Chiefs,” Moloi is quoted as saying on the club's website.
