George Maluleka hails Kaizer Chiefs' successful' game plan against AmaZulu

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka says their game plan against AmaZulu in the Telkom Knockout was 'very clear'.

Maluleka opened the scoring, before Hendrick Ekstein and Siphiwe Tshabalala netted in the second half to secure a 3-0 win over Usuthu.

The Chiefs midfielder, who was named Man of the Match, did feel they could have scored more goals.

"I want to thank my technical team, my teammates. We worked very hard today. We had a game plan," he told SuperSport TV.

"It was very clear from the start, we knew they're a team that changes formations a lot. We tried our best to exploit the spaces where they're very weak and I think we succeeded based on the results.

"We could have had a couple more goals, two or three [more]. Ekstein had a couple of chances, [Bernard] Parker and [Dumisani] Zuma. We're happy to go through and it's back to the drawing board."
