Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael prioritises Absa Premiership over Telkom Knockout

Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael admits the league is his priority as he considers his squad options for their Telkom Knockout opener with Bidvest Wits.
Defenders Nyiko Mobbie and Nhlanhla Vilakazi sustained knocks in a recent 1-1 draw with Platinum Stars, and Eymael is hesitant to risk aggravating their injuries in Saturday's clash with Wits at Bidvest Stadium (20h15).
The Belgian also has an eye on their next Premiership assignment away to Cape Town City on Wednesday.
"Mobbie has been injured," Eymael told KickOff.com.
"I think the other players deserved a yellow card but the referee blew the whistle for a foul but didn't give a yellow card. and Mobbie is injured at the ankle. I think he twists his ankle.
"I also replaced Vilakazi if you saw on 50 to 55 minutes, I don't remember. Vilakazi also has a problem at his ankle and his knee. I don't know if he is going to be available for the game on Saturday, but I think definitely they'll be in the 22 because we will travel with 22 players.
"But if I can spare them I will do it, and it will also be a chance for other players to show me something against Bidvest Wits because I have to make a small rotation. Because you know that we'll have to play three days after Wits, we have to play Cape Town City.
"I don't say for me that the cup is not important but I prefer to have very good results in the league than in the cup," concluded the former Polokwane City boss.
