Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar says he was unfairly sent off against Marseille

Posted: 23 October 2017 Time: 19:15

Paris Saint-Germian forward Neymar claims his red card against Olympique Marseille was 'exaggerated'.

The Brazilian was sent off in the closing stages of PSG's 2-2 draw with Marseille after picking up a second yellow card for lashing out at an opponent.

Neymar says he was annoyed with the challenge with Lucas Ocampos's challenge from behind.

"I think it was exaggerated, yes. And unfair. I spent the whole game getting enough. I have many marks on my body," Neymar told Esporte Interativo.

"It was a move I tried to continue after suffering a foul. I was annoyed at the blow from behind."

"The referee did what he wanted, which was to send me off and appear more than the players."
