Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has been named the 2017 Golden Boy ahead of Ousmane Dembele and Marcus Rashford.

The award recognises the best player under the age of 21 plying their trade in Europe and voted for by a penal of journalists from across the continent.

And Mbappe, who fired Monaco to the Ligue 1 title last year and who has four goals and as many assists in 11 games for PSG this season, has clinched the top honour.

The 18-year-old comes in atop the pile with 291 votes, with Barcelona sensation Dembele finishing as runner-up with 149 votes while Manchester United starlet Rashford was third.

The list of previous winners of the award includes Wayne Rooney (2004), Paul Pogba (2013) Raheem Sterling (2014), Anthony Martial (2015) and Renato Sanches (2016).
