Bidvest Wits midfielder Anthony Gordinho says the rich talent the defending champions have in the midfield department is the reason for his lack of game-time at the club.
Gordinho, who is the younger brother of Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo, hasn't featured in a single game for the Clever Boys since joining them in August, but remains hopeful he will get his chance.
The 22-year-old spent last season in the NFD playing for University of Pretoria where he was on loan from SuperSport United.
"It's been great [at Wits], a really professional club and all the players are welcoming. Yes, I am [missing game-time], I haven't played yet.
"It's not easy you know, there are a lot of talented players in the midfield. I was told to be patient by coach Gavin. He just mentioned that I should attack the space if it's on. Now I'm focusing on myself and working hard until I'm given a chance."
The Chiefs youth product has embraced the challenge of competing with many big names such as fellow recruits Steven Pienaar and Daylon Claasen for coach Gavin Hunt's favour.
"I chose to go to Wits because they have ambitions to win more silverware. I felt competing with players that have overseas experience will help me grow as a player."
