Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen was left to rue a "horrendous defensive error" in the 1-1 draw with Baroka, as his side missed out on replacing Bakgaga at the Premiership summit.
Arrows conceded 15 minutes in when goalkeeper Nkosingiphile Gumede gifted the ball to the onrushing Moeti, who fired into an empty net at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Abafana Bes'thende equalised with a close-range finish from Siphelele Magubane in the 75th minute, but the result leaves Larsen's team two points shy of top spot after eight games.
Larsen told his club's website: "After a positive opening 15-20 minutes we conceded against the run of play with a horrendous defensive error. The goal somehow rattled us and gave Baroka the momentum leading to the break.
"With a few adjustments at half time we came out and played with more belief and showed greater attacking impetus. All three second-half substitutes - [Jabulani] Shongwe, [Yusuf] Jappie and [Knox] Mutizwa - made a positive contribution to our second-half performance. We duely equalised through a well taken Magubane strike and tried for the winner but it was not to be.
"Another good point on the road. Well done once again for the courage and commitment shown by our players."
