Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael is unhappy to be drawn against Premiership champions Bidvest Wits in the last-16 of the Telkom Knockout.
The former Polokwane City mentor admitted Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns were the two sides he was hoping to avoid in the first round of the competition.
“It’s a very bad draw,” Eymael told his club's website. “I have been in South Africa for two years now, before the draw, I already know who is playing who, always the same fixtures.
“Again a bad draw we are up against the reigning champions Bidvest Wits – there are two teams I wanted to avoid in this draw and that is Wits and Sundowns, but unfortunately it has to be like that.
“I remember when I was in Polokwane City I also had to play the champions and it was Sundowns at that time.”
The game has been earmarked for the weekend of October 27/28, with the PSL yet to confirm dates, times and venues.
