Liverpool boosted as Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino train ahead of Manchester United visit

Posted: 12 October 2017 Time: 13:42

Liverpool have received two major boosts ahead of Saturday’s visit of Manchester United following the news Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino have returned to training.

The two sides lock horns at Anfield on Saturday in the early kick-off and there had been concerns Coutinho and Firmino could miss out after playing for Brazil in their final World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

However, the pair look set to feature against the Red Devils after linking up with the rest of their Liverpool team-mates in training on Thursday.

Definitely out, though, is striker Sadio Mane, while Adam Lallana remains a big doubt, despite nearing a return from a thigh injury.
