MultiChoice Diski Challenge wrap 08 October 2017

Mamelodi Sundowns recorded their first win of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge season in dramatic fashion, while Orlando Pirates also picked up three points in this weekend's action.

Mamelodi Sundowns 3-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Sundowns got their first win on the board after Keletso Makgalwa's last-gasp winner handed them a 3-2 win over Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.

Ayanda Dyani put Amakhosi ahead in the 12th minute but Arthur Zwane's charges were reduced to 10 men as Tristan Moses was red carded in the 26th minute.

Given Thibedi scored the second five minutes before halftime, while David Notoane's troops pulled a goal back through Makgalwa in the 56th minute.

Sundowns then had Mjabulise Mkhize and Kamogela Sambo sent off in the 62nd and 68th minutes respectively.

However, Cuthbert Malajila brought parity in the 81st minute making it 2-2 with a close-range finish, before Makgalwa sealed the match four minutes from time.

Orlando Pirates 2-0 Ajax Cape Town

Orlando Pirates returned to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 win over in-form Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.

Former Free State Stars defender Justice Chabalala opened the scoring for the Buccaneers midway through the first half, while Grant Peter wrapped up the match with a header in stoppage time.

Bidvest Wits 0-1 SuperSport United

SuperSport United bagged their second win of the season after defeating Bidvest Wits 1-0 on Sunday morning.

Darren Smith scored the only goal of the match in the second half.
