Juventus have no plans to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can in January

Posted: 2 October 2017 Time: 19:35

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta claims the Serie A giants won't be making a move for Liverpool's Emre Can in the January transfer window.

The Germany international has been linked with a move to the Italian champions in recent months.

The 23-year-old is yet to sign a new deal at the club, which expires at the end of the 2017-2018 season.

"We don't believe we have to make a move in January. We have a competitive squad," Moratta told Premium Sport.

"We have three players in midfield. We have young players. We're confident in them.

When asked if there was interest Can, Moratta replied: "I don't think there's anything there. I don't think Liverpool will want to lose an important player."
