SuperSport United coach Eric Tinkler felt hard done by following the 1-1 draw with Club Africain in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals on Sunday.
Matsatsantsa salvaged a point after Thabo Mnyamane slotted a late penalty to cancel out Sabeur Khalifa's 21st minute opener from the spot at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.
Tinkler's men will battle the Tunisians for a spot in the final after the FIFA international break in Tunis in three weeks.
“I am disappointed with a draw. If you sit and look at the game I think the result itself doesn't tell the true story,” said Tinkler.
“We gave them a sniff in the first two minutes of the game. Yes, once or twice they looked threatening on the counter but we dealt with it.
“But we created many chances, especially in the first half where we had very good chances. At this level and at this stage of the competition you have to be scoring, that’s the harsh reality.
“I can't fault the boys, the work ethic was phenomenal. They had a never-say-die attitude, they kept fighting until the death. I can't fault them.
“Chances you create you must use, that’s important at this stage of the competition,” reiterated the former Bafana Bafana midfielder.
