Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has called up Cape Town City captain Robyn Johannes as a replacement for injured Bidvest Wits skipper Thulani 'Tyson' Hlatshwayo.
Tyson has been ruled out of Saturday's 2018 World Cup qualifier with Burkina Faso at FNB Stadium with a knee problem.
Johannes has impressed for the Citizens since their formation last season. The 31-year-old has three international caps, having made his debut in a COSAFA Cup match against the Seychelles on 26 February 2005.
Baxter yesterday also roped in Mamelodi Sundowns centre-back Motjeka Madisha as a replacement for suspended Kaizer Chiefs defender Erick Mathoho.
The Brit's other options in central defence are SuperSport United duo Clayton Daniels and Morgan Gould.
Bafana are bottom of Group D with a point from three games - four points behind Senegal and five shy of Cape Verde and the Burkinabe.
