Chiefs lost 2-1 to the log leaders at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, leaving the Soweto giants six points off the pace in fifth place on the table after seven games.

Steve Komphela's men are under pressure to perform following two trophyless seasons at Naturena.

Tshabalala told his official website: “Look the game was a tough one. Whenever we play, we always have to be at our best and that is the unfortunate truth when you play for Chiefs. We tried our best but it was not to be on the day.

“We just have to keep going and deal more precisely with all remaining games of the season. We have to be focused because everyone tries to prove a point whenever they play against us. It’s a loss, we take it on the chin and move on.”

The Glamour Boys next visit Mamelodi Sundowns in Tshwane on October 17 after the FIFA international break.

The Brazilians edged struggling Platinum Stars 1-0 in Rustenburg yesterday to take their tally to nine points from four matches.

Pitso Mosimane's men are playing catch-up domestically following their recent exit in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals at the hands of Wydad Casablanca.
