Real Madrid secure long-term future of Raphael Varane after agreeing five-year deal

Posted: 29 September 2017 Time: 13:00

Real Madrid confirm they have agreed a five-year contract extension with defender Raphael Varane.

Los Blancos have been hard at work securing the long-term futures of their top performers, having already signed new deals with Isco, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Karim Benzema and Marcos Llorente.

Varane is now the latest to commit himself to the Santiago Bernabeu, although his previous agreement was only scheduled to expire in 2020.

The centre-back joined the Galacticos from Lens in 2011 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for Madrid, including seven this season under head coach Zinedine Zidane.
